What is an Athletic Trainer?

Athletic trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Updates

In June 2019, Senate Bill 742 passed, which updated/modernized the athletic training practice act as well as allowed athletic trainers to be licensed in the state of Oregon.  The bill goes into effect January 2020.
